Without general public notification or imput we have been sited for a high-level vaste dump, 150 yds. from Lake qichigan, 1/5 the world's fresh water. This deadly waste innot be stored safely anywhere, so ve vill most likely be c

a permanent regional dump. !!O! The D.O.E. has stated they w L11 not be liable for th' esc vastes if an interin site is not built by 1998, a date the Covernment Accounting Office I states is unlikely. Therefore I ask I5f:

1. full democratic procese in the crucial decision.

2.

full public hearings held in the sited area.

3. an enviromental impact statement filed with the EPA and the State of Michigan.

a full cost / benefit analysis be done examing the cost of nuclear power and examine other sources of energy.
