Dear Mr. Starostecki:

As part of his recent inspection of the results of previous leak rate tests at 7MI-1, Dr. Gung of your staff identified 33 apparent irregularities and 25 missing calculations and provided this information to Henry Shipnan on August 9,1983.

We have conducted a review of our files and of supportirv3 data and believe that we have discovered information that eliminates many of the questions raised by Dr. Chung.

Enclosures 1, 2 and 3 to this letter specify the disposition of each item on Dr. Chung's list by date and time.

We had hoped to meet with you to discass this additional data.

However, at your request we are subnitting the data in this letter to assist you in expediting the preparation of the report of this inspection. If further discussion is necessary to clarify this additional data, we would be glad to meet with you at your convenience.
