Dear Mr. Youngblood:

This Office has been requested to respond to your request to the Office of Environmental Project Review, U.S. Department of the Interior, for early coordination review of the proposal to put the Marble 11111 Nuclear Station, Units 1 and 2, Jef ferson County, Indiana, into operation.

Based on the information in your letter and attachments of June 8 and our general knowledge of the area, it does not appear that implementation of the proposed project will adversely af fect any area or jurisdiction of the National Park Service.

We urge that you consult and coordinate with the Indiana State Historic Preservation Officer, Mr. James Ridenour, to ensure that you comply with all mandates pertaining to the identification and protection of cultural resources. Mr. Ridenour is the Director, Department of Natural Resources, 608 State Office Building, Indianapolis, Indiana 46204.

These comments are provided as informal technical assistance and are not intended to reflect our probable response to any document which may be prepared in this matter to comply with the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969.
