R. Denton) dated December 16, 1981, submitting Revision 5 of the Shoreham Assessment Report.
Dear Mr. Denton:
As requested by the NRC, LILCO is presently quantifying the Shoreham specific local to bulk temperature difference to provide confirmation of the 10 F value specified in Appendix I of reference 1.
The Shoreham specific local to bulk temperature difference is being derived from the LaSalle in-plant SRV generic test program.
The LaSalle results, including the test parameters have not been sent to the NRC, although a submittal is expected in the near future.
Any Shoreham specific information that could be provided prior to the generic test program submittal could only be reviewed subject to the staff's review of the generic program.
LILCO will therefore provide via letter submittal, the results of the Shoreham specific local to s
