Geatlemen:

SUBJECT:

Licensee Event Reports (LER) 91-27 and 92-14 for the Fort Calhoun Station (FCS)

As transmitted by Reference 2, LER 91-27 included as a corrective action:

Coordinate a review of the station standing orders used by appropriate Nuclear Operations Division and Production Engineering Division departments at FCS. This review will identify those standing orders that may impact the operations of that department and ensure that they are included in the department's formal training program, This will be completed and training provided by September 1, 1992.

F Although the standing orders have been reviewed, the required training is incomplete due to a misunderstanding of the extent of the commitment actions by

~the Training Department.

Training is complete for some affected groups, but still in progress for others. Therefore, Omaha Public Power District OPPD) is revising the implementation date for the corrective action noted bove tn September 30, 1992.

As transmitted by Reference 3, LER 92-14 included two corrective actions to improve work control:

1.

The definition of a Priority 1 MWO and the applicability of Standing Order G-87 to MW0s will be reviawed ar.d clarified as needi.d by September 1, 1992.

2.

The MWO planning and review process will be reviewed and revised, if necessary, by September 1,1992, to be responsive to Operations Department needs with respect to timely completion of Priority 1 and Priority 2 MW0s.

Standing Order M-101 has been revised as a result of the actions above; however, the revisions were more extensive than anticipated and require training prior to full implementation. Therefore, OPPD is revising the implementation date for the corrective actions noted above to January 1, 1993.
