The Detroit Edison Company, Applicant in the above captioned proceeding. hereby submits Supplement 5 to the Environmental Report-Construction Permit Stage (ER) which accompanies the Application for Licenses. [
_ _ , Supplement 5 consists of updated information to reflect changes in the design of the Greenwood Units 2 and 3 and revised regulatory requirements since 1975. The major changes in plant design include: (1) two single, unitized plants instead of two plants sharing major facilities such as the control building and radwaste building; and (2) use of natural draft cooling towers instead of spray canals.
In order to expedite review of the Environmental Report by the Commission Staff, Supplement 5 contains both the revised ER sections and those sections that remain unchanged. Therefore, Applicant is submitting a complete ER, and reference to previous ER material is not required.
