p . Gentlemen: ,

Please accept the ottoChed OCRE Response to Appliconds"

-Motion.for Summary Disposition or Issue 16. We realize that this response was due on February 25, 1985. However, it was not Popsible to finish the response on time, despite-our diligent attempt to do so. As con be seen, this response hos entoiled a massive effort involving review of numerous technicci documents,

. mony of.which have only been mode avoilable by Applicants within 4

the month, such as the 4 volume DR/QR Report.

OCRE was oiso diligent in its attempts to obtain on

. extension of time from the Board. The undersigned OCRE /

I Representative telephoned the other porties in order to gain their concurrence. Staff does not object to on extension; i Applicants object if the extension would offect the Board's adopted schedule. OCRE telephoned the Board on Friday, February E 22 one on Mondoy, February 25 seeking formal gronting of the extension. OCRE was informed that our request was 'noted*, but no octuoi grant or denial was given.

\

OCRE is confident that the 2 day delay in this filing will l~

not oeversely ofrect the hearing schedule. Refusal of the response, on the other hand, will adversely ofrect OCRE's rights i

in this proceeding. We ore sorry that any delay was necessary, cut it.wos impossible to meet the Feeruary 25 deodisne under the i conditions imposed.
