The examinations reported herein constitute the fif th such inservice examination performed at Calvert Cliffs Unit 2, and the first within the third 40-month period of commerical operation. Calvert Cliffs Unit 2 examinations were performed in accordance with the 1974 Edition of Section XI with Addenda through Summer 1975. Hydrostatic and System Pressure Tcsting Procedures are available at the plant site for review.

!!. Abstract of Conditions Noted:

(See Enclosures 1,2, & 3)

a. Eddy current examination of Steam Generators #21 and #22 revealed signs of steam generator tube degradation. Indications of degradation were found on a total of 50 tubes from the approximately 13,800 tubes examined (7,300 #21 Steam Generator and 6,500 #22 Steam Generator). Six tubes were found to have service induced degradation which exceeded the Technical Specification plugging limit of 40% loss of nominal wall thickness, four in #21 Steam Generator and two in #22 Steam Generator. The indications were all of a small area, small volume in nature. The inf. cations were not localized in a particular area of the tube bundle.

12. Abstract of Corrective Measures Recommended and Taken:

a. Those tubes found to contain imperfections greater than 40% wall loss were removed from service by plugging each end with a mechanical tube plug.

We certify that the Statements inade in this report are correct and the examinations and corrective measures taken conform to the rules of the ASME Code,Section XI.
