NORTH ANNA POWER STATION-UNITS 1 AND 2 ENVIRONMENTAL QUALIFICATION OF ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT REQUEST FOR SCHEDULAR EXTENSION FOR HYDROGEN RECOMBINERS In accordance with 10CFR50.49 paragraph (h) of the Equipment Qualification Rule, we'are requesting an extension to November 30, 1985, for completing the environmental qualification of the hydrogen recombiner-equipment.-This extension is requested because the motor manufacturer has slipped delivery from January 5 to approximately March

-1,1985. Construction estimates an installation time of approximately 25 days for each recombiner. Technical Specifications prevent taking more

-than one recombiner out of service at a time; therefore, there exists

insufficient construction time to complete the modification prior to the March 31, 1985 extension date previously approved.

The Justification for Continued Operation was submitted on August 24, 1981 (Letter Serial No. 330) for Unit 1, September 4,.1981 (Letter Serial No. 335)'for Unit 2 and October 29, 1984 (Letter Serial No. 285).

for both units. This JC0 has been reviewed by Franklin Research Center and the'NRC and found to be acceptable.
