ASME SECTION III, EXEMPTION FROM NDE FOR SMALL DIAMETER PIPES AND FITTINGS HOPE CREEK GENERATING STATION DOCKET NO. 50-354 Public Service Electric and Gas Company requests permission to adopt the provisions of NB-2510 in the 1983 Edition, Summer 1983 Addenda of ASME Section III, whereas the Code of Record is the 1974 Edition, Winter 1974 Addenda. The provisions of NB-2510 in the 1983 Edition, Summer 1983 Addenda of ASME Section III allows the use of seamless pipe, tubes, and fittings, 1 in, nominal pipe size and less, without being examined by nondestructive methods. The Code of Record requires the examination by nondestructive methods of these pipes, tubes, and fittings.
