Subject:

Docket No. 50-482: Revised Schedule for Completion of Commitment Gentlemen:

The purpose of this letter is to provide a revised schedule for the completion of actions committed to in the References.

A commitment to train various levels of the Technical Staff to achieve an increased understanding of the corrective action program was first presented in Reference 1 and was again discussed in Reference 2.

The date of completion was scheduled for July 1,

1992.

However, as a result of enhancements - to Wolf Creek Nuclear Operating Corporation's corrective action program and the development of two new corporate level procedures, the final lesson plan is now being completed.

Also, it was determined that the training should be provided to a larger number of personnel.

As a result of the program enhancements and the change in the number of personnel to receive training, it has become necessary to extend the completion date for this activity to October 30,'1992.

A1though the corrective action committed to in the above references is still in the process of being completed, other actions are being accomplished including the initial completion of classes on root cause evaluation techniques to personnel responsible for performing root cause determinations within their respective groups.

If you have any questions concerning this matter, please contact me or Mr. S. G. Wideman of my staf f.

Very truly yours,
