Description of the document: This document informs the public that the Nuclear Energy Institute has withdrawn its petition requesting the NRC to amend its regulations to add a new rule governing spent fuel storage cask certificate of compliance format and content and make other changes to NRC oversight of dry cask storage activities. The NRC is discontinuing the associated rulemaking.

Dates: The docket for PRM-72-7 is closed and the associated rulemaking activity is discontinued upon publication in the Federal Register.
