Response to Request for Additional inforrnation Regarding Technical Specifications Change Request No.95-184 l

By letter dated December 22,1995, PECO Energy Company (PECO) submitted Technical Specifications l-Change Request (TSCR) No. 95-18-0 " Increase Purge System Operational Time Limits" for Limerick l.

Generating Station (LGS) Units 1 and 2. The purpose of TSCR 95-18-0 is to increase the allowable l

purge time limit while in OPCONs 1,2 or 3 from 90 hours0.00104 days
0.025 hours
1.488095e-4 weeks
3.4245e-5 months
each 365 days to 180 hours0.00208 days
0.05 hours
2.97619e-4 weeks
6.849e-5 months
each 365 days.

l Subsequently, via telephone conversation dated March 25,1996, the NRC requested that PECO Energy commit to submitting an additional TSCR within one year of issuance of the amendments approving TSCR 95-18-0. The supplemental TSCR would propose removing the purge time limit from the TS and replace it with requirements similar to those contained in the Improved Standard Technical Specifications (i.e., NUREG-1433).

PECO Energy hereby commits to submitting a TSCR, within one year of the date of issuance of the amendments approving TSCR 95-184, to remove the purge time limit from the TS and replace it with requirements similar to those contained in the Improved Standard Technical Specifications (l. e., NUREG-1433).
