Dear Mr. Stolz:
By letter dated February 10, 1984, Toledo Edison Company (TED) submitted its program plan outline and schedule to address the Equipment Classifica-tion and Vendor Interface Program Requirements for the Reactor Trip System (Serial No. 1024). Within that letter, the date of December 31, 1984 was identified for the implementation of activities considered responsive to Generic Letter 83-28, Section 2.1.
Also stated within that letter was the possibility that portions of the Program pertaining to the Reactor Trip System may be changed upon finalization of the Toledo Edison overall pro-gram.
The intent of this letter is to identify a specific program enhancement that is being implemented and requires a revision to our previously submitted schedule.
Specifically, the scope of the procedure review committed to in the refer-enced letter (i.e., GL 83-28 Section 2.1 response) has been expanded.
In-cluded in the procedure review is the guidance provided in Section 3.1.2 (i.e., check of vendor and engineering recommendations to ensure that any appropriate test guidance is included in the test and maintenance procedures, where required).
Due to the expanded review being performed on the procedures applicable to the Reactor Trip System, an additional three (3) months is necessary for the review to be completed.
It is now scheduled to have these review activities associated with Generic Letter 83-28, Sections 2.1 and 3.1, completed by March 29, 1985.
