Letter from NRC to TVA dated November 1, 1991, " Summary of the September 24, 1991, Meeting with the Tennessee Valley Authority Regarding Implementation of Revision 4 of the Emergency Procedure Guidelines" This letter provides notification of the implementation of Revision 4 of the Boiling Water Reactor Owners' Group (BW20G) EPGs into the E0Is used at BFN.

TVA/BFN has resolved the NRC comments from the NRC review of the BFN E0I Development Guidelines and the Plant Operations Review Committee (PORC) approved the revised E0Is on May 20, 1992. An evaluation of local / manual venting upon blackout conditions or loss of offsite power was performed in conjunction with implementation of the Revision 4 EPGs.

With the implementation of Revision 4 of the EPGs on June 15, 1992, TVA has fulfilled its commitment (Reference 1) to reflect BWROG Guidance with regard to the flowpath from RC/P (Pressure Control) to C2 (Emergency RPV Depressurization) and from the RC/L (Level Control) to C4 (RPV Flooding).
