Beaver Valley Power Station, Unit No. 1 Docket No. 50-334, License No. DPR-66 Response to Generic Letter 84-12 Gentlemen:
Generic Letter 84-12 raised a concern regarding compliance of Solid Waste Disposal System Process Control Programs with requirements of 10CFR61 and 10CFR20.331.
A copy of the Beaver Valley Power Station, Unit No.1 Process Control Program is attached.
This program has been revised to implement the radioactive waste form requirements of 10CFR61 and the certification require-ments of 10CFR20.311.
Duquesne Light Company is also participating in the ATCOR testing program which is intended to qualify the present use of masonry cement in meeting the new requirements of 10CFR61 for Class 3 and Class C waste.
The preliminary phase of testing has-been completed.
All remaining te'sts are expected to be completed by the end of February 1985.
