The data report for 1991 is still under development and will be forwarded as part of the 1992 submittal.

New Hampshire Yankee submitted an amended application (Attachment 3) for a National' Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Permit renewal to-the USEPA on April 11, 1991 with a copy sent to the NRC via NHY

_ letter NYE-91009.

' New Hampshire Yankee (NHY) submitted a report 'Cteparative Evaluations of Hydraulic Model.and Field Thermai Plume Data, Seabrook Nuclear Power

- Station."

This report. measures the thermal plumes from the cooling

^

water discharge, from plant operations. and cor. pares them to predicted plumes.

Overall, a satisfactory agreement between the models and field data was observed. _This report was subaitted to the USEPA on June 18, 1991 (Attachment 4).

Few Hampshire Yankee on April 26, 1991 submitted a report. *1990 Ocean Temperature Compliance Report".

This report summarizes ocean

- temperature data acquired in 1990 during the first 6 months of Seabrook Station operation - as required by NPDES Permit No..NH0020338. As a followup, on January 21, 1992, NHY submitted aa amended document,

( Atta chment 5) to correct minor flaws in the original data submittal.

accomplished by implementing a_ limited portion of the flovpath

' todification that.vas requested by NHY in its April 11, 1991 NPDES permit 1 renewal.

This request was approved by.the USEPA on October 11, 1991. - The diversion of the Unit 1 Protected Area stormwater to the Circulating' Vater System'was accomplished.by utilizing the aban'doned

{

-Unit 2-circulating water pipe..This flowpath modification includes a:

radiation monitoring skid that will continuously monitor this flowpath.

All NPDES monitoring requirements for the C4.rculating Vater System (outfall-001) will be met prior to discharge. - All other-flowpath modifications described-in the NPDES. renewal application, will not be

' implemented without EPA approval.
