Georgia Power Company, et al. (Vogtle Generating Plant, Units 1_and 2)

Dear Sirs:

Intervenors Campaign for a Prosperous Georgia and Georgians Against Nuclear Energy have received your letter dated March 26 requesting "the parties to attempt to resolve the discovery differences by way of negotiation and stipulation." This letter from the Board responds to Intervenors' Motion to Compel Applicants' Responses to Interrogatories and Requests to Produce Documents and the Applicants' Answer Opposing Joint Intervenors' Motion to Compel.

Intervenors assume that the Board's request similarly applies to other interrogatories and requests to produce.

Intervenors and Applicants have agreed to discuss these matters following a deposition to be taken by the Applicants of a representative of the Intervenors on April 17.

Intervenors and Applicants will inform the Board of their progress following this meeting.

At this meeting, Intervenors will attempt to settle their differences with Applicants' refusal to respond to certain interrogatory requests in the Intervenors' second and fourth sets of interrogatories and requests to produce.

Intervenors, of course, retain the right to request (within ten days of the meeting on April 17) that the Board compel the Applicants to respond to any interrogatories or requests to produce on which the Intervenors and Applicants cannot reach agreement at that time.

Sincerely, J'?
