HOPE CREEK GENERATING STATION DOCKET NO. 50-354 CRDR PRE-IMPLEMENTATION AUDIT COMMITMENTS This correspondence documents commitments which Public Service Electric and Gas Company (PSE&G) made at the pre-implementation audit of the Hope Creek Generating Station Control Room Design Review (CRDR) held on November 13, 1984, through November 15, 1984.
The audit was conducted by the NRC at the Hope Creek site.
l The following identifies each commitment, and provides a specific schedule / time frame for completion:
1.
PSE&G shall update task and function analysis forms by November 1985 incorporating plant specific finalized Emergency Operating Procedures (EOP s), in addition to defining instrument and control characteristics.
PSE&G shall also improve the HED tracking system capability, by completing the HED reference column of the task analysis form.
2.
PSE&G shall address outstanding (CRDR) survey items and provide documentation of the survey results to the NRC by November 1985.
The outstanding survey items include HVAC, Illumination, Emergency Equipment, Communication, and Computer Systems.
A followup to the November 1985 submittal will be provided no later than six months after fuel load and it will cover the ambient noise survey and the detailed operator interviews.

PSE&G shall review the as-built condition of the modifi-cations'in order to assure that Human Factors "fix"~is properly implemented.

-In addition, it is noted that-for items 1 and 2 above (Task and. Function Analysis, and:CRDR survey items respectively),
as originally committed to by PSE&G during ensuing meeting discussions, completion of these tasks was tentatively scheduled for October 1985.
As a result of scheduling conflicts, these items will not be available for NRC' review.

This schedule delay was discussed between NRC's D. Wagner (Licensing Project Manager) and A. Ramey-Smith (Human Factors Branch reviewer) and PSE&G's Messrs. Mermelstein and McGuire via telecon on December 6, 1984.
