Dear Mr. Crutchfield:
This letter is to provide you formal notification that the six defi-ciencies identified during the October 18, 1995, full-scale exercise evaluation of the implementation of state and local radiological emergency response plans for the Callaway Nuclear Power Plant have been corrected.
The deficiencies were corrected during the remedial exercise conduct-ed January 24, 1996, and are now considered closed.
Based on the results of the full-scale and remedial exercises, and receipt of the approved plan amendments dated November 1995, which were implemented prior to the remedial exercise, the offsite radio-logical emergency response plans and preparedness for the State of Missouri, and affected local jurisdictions, site-specific to the Callaway Nuclear Power Plant, are determined to be adequate to provide reasonable assurance that appropriate measures can be taken offsite to protect the health and safety of the public in the event of a radiological emergency at the site.
Therefore, tPs Title 44 CFR, Part 350, approval of the offsite radiological emergency re-sponse plans and preparedness for the State of Missouri site-specific to the Callaway Nuclear Power Plant granted on March 21, 1984, will remain in effect.
