Dear Mr. P a l l.s d i n o,
I am writing in regards to the power plant TMI-1 at Thrre Mile Island in Pa. and I would like to know'exactiv why it has no t: been apprcved for r e-s t..a r t even though it had been operating satisfactorily before TMI-2 failed and the onig reason fcr keeping it off line was because the oper-ator's ability was in question.
Years have passed and GPU Stockholders have been re-quired to borrow funds te pay the interest on the debt with-out the benefits of operating the plant and without any assurance that the operators have become qualified.
In addition to the stockholders, the power company customers must pay more because TMI-1 is not operating.
Nuclear power plants in France and other countries have been oper. sting successfully for !s e a r s.
Why can't ours?
