Dear Mr. Stolz:
This is to notify you that, effective April 1, 1985, Toledo Edison (TED) will put in place a new phone system. This will result in a change of the current telephone prefix. The new TED telephone prefix will be 249. All individual extension numbers will remain the same; for example, the (419) 259-5000 number for the TED switchboard will become (419) 249-5000 and my extension number of 259-5221 will become 249-5221.
Attempts to utilize the 259 prefix will result in a recorded message requesting that you call 249-5000. The operator answering the call will be able to give you more specific information if necessary.
