Dear Mr. Crutchfield:

Enclosed is a copy of the final report for the November 16, 1994, plume exposure pathway exercise of the offsite radiological emergency response plans site-specific to the LaSalle County Nuclear Power Station.

The State of Illinois partially participated and LaSalle and Grundy Counties fully participated in this exercise.

The commonwealth Edison Company also participated.

The final exercise report was prepared by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Region V staff.

A copy of this report will be provided to the State of Illinois by FEMA Region V staff.

No Deficiencies were identified during this exercise.

There were, however, five Areas Requiring Corrective Action identified.

FEMA Region V staff will monitor the status of corrective actions.

Based on the results of the November 16, 1994, offsite exercise, the offsite radiological emergency response plans and preparedness for the State of Illinois and affected local jurisdictions, site-specific to the LaSalle County Nuclear Power Station, can be implemented and are adequate to provide reasonable assurance that appropriate measures can be taken offsite to protect the health and safety of the public in the event of a radiological emergency at the site.

Therefore, the Title 44 CFR, Part 350, approval of the I

offsite radiological emergency response plans and preparedness for the State of Illinois site-specific to the LaSalle County Nuclear Power Station, granted on June 4, 1982, will remain in effect.

If you should have any questions, please contact Mr. Ihor W. Husar, Chief, State and Local Regulatory Evaluation and Assessment Branch, at (202) 646-4065.

Sincerely, k

,E O.
