Dear Mrs. Ellis:
In accordance with the Board's instruction during the November 15, 1984, conference call (Tr. 19,468-69), Applicants have reviewed their motion for summary disposition regarding quality assurance for design to identify any materials not already provided CASE, the substance of which Applicants rely on in their motion.
In addition to the TUGCO audits of the Gibbs & Hill Applied Mechanics Group which the Board already asked be provided (Tr. 19,469) and which are attached, we have identified two other documents which we will agree to provide.
The first document we are providing is an NRC audit of Gibbs & Hill.
As we mentioned in our motion this audit had no findings concerning the Applied Mechanics Group.
We are providing it to enable CASE to confirm this fact.
- Second, we are providing a portion of Specification MS-46A, viz.,
Appendix 4.
We are providing this Appendix because it provides general quality assurance guidance for the procurement of materials and equipment pursuant to MS-46A. Although we also do not rely on this material in our motion, we are providing it because it relates to quality assurance, rather than the technical criteria as set forth in the remainder of MS-46A which Applicants continue.to object to providing because it is not relevant to our motion.
(I note.that you apparently already have a copy of the MS-46A Specification from the State rate proceedings.)
