On February 18, 1983, we provided a response to a Violation (82-30-02) concerning the use of current Operating Manual forms.
In our response, under Action Taken to Prevent Recurrence, we stated in part:
"In order to provide a more stringent control of forms associated with chapters of the Operating Manual, the location of the forms will be restricted to two areas; the Control Room file cabinets and the original files in the Administration Building".
We wish to clarify that the controls referenced in our response were not intended to apply to forms associated with the Emergency Preparedness Plan (EPP) which is included in the BVPS Operating Manual (Chapter 57).
Due to the unique nature of the EPP, these forms must be distributed to various locations.
However, internal controls do exist to ensure that EPP forms are maintained current.
In addition, Operating Manual Chapter 49 " Reactor Engineering Proce-dures" has recently been revised to include portions of the Incore Manual.
The Analytical Services Section which is located off-site maintains and uses certain forms from Operating Manual Chapter 49 required by their work activ-ities.
These forms are controlled by the Analytical Services Section to ensure they are kept current.
In summary, certain forms from Operating Manual Chapters 49 and 57 are maintained in a different manner than as stated in our response to Violation 82-30-02.
However, suitable methods are in place for the control of all Operating Manual forms.
