Dear Mr. Youngblood:
The PNPP Diesel Generator Program Plan, submitted by letter dated January 17, 1985 (PY-CEI/NRR-0156L), included the PNPP Design Review / Quality Revalidation (DR/QR) report as an attachment. The January letter noted that any comments resulting from review of the DR/QR package would be forwarded to the NRC.
Included as an attachment to this submittal is Revision I to the PNPP DR/QR report, which has been prepared and approved by the TD1 Diesel Generator Owners Group Technical Staff.
CEI review of Revision I has noted that the report for Component No. 02-315A should reference PNPP FSAR Table 8.3-1.
FSAR Table 8.3-1 shows that the maximum loading on the PNPP diesels during a LOOP /LOCA is 4668 KW and for LOOP / Forced Shutdown is 5634 KW.
The analysis described for 02-315A was performed using a value of 7000 KW, which provides a margin of 1366 KW above the maximum diesel loading.
