In two separate reglests for amendments to the 'mchnical Specifications, both dated February 15, 1985, we included the following wording: "In order to allo r time for procedire revision and orderly incorporation into copies of the Technical Specifications, we reglest that the proposed amendment, once approved by the NRC, be isaled with an effectise date to be no later than 30 days from the date of isalance of the amendment." It is the recuest of Georgia Ibwer Conpany that this method of determining the effectise date be incorporated in all future amendments to the Technical Specifications.
We realize that there vill be instances where the effective date nust be
'imediately'.
However, for the vast majority of amendments there is no l
sich urgency. We reglest, therefore, that this wording be used for as many of the proposed amendment packages which are outstanding at the Comission j
at this time as possible.
