'95 0C' 20 P4 :42 Earlier in the concern it was alleged that_Bockholds
' y~
presence during PRB meetings was influencing theivolfs.
As U
a result of this he met with the voting"memb'ersrand stated his position and need for their independence'.* io follow-up
~
on this he has requested that I perform a second interview of each PRB member for evidence of the concern.
Attached is a list of ell PRB members.
All but two of those listed wera contacted (I.
A.
Kochery was on vacation and R.
M. Odem had a death in the family).
Before conducting the interview everyone was told that all information would be held in strict confidence and that no names would be associated with any comments made.
As a result of these interviews I could find no evidence of the concern.
The following is a list of statements made relative to the issue.
1...It's their duty to view and comment, no matter who is there.
2... Personal 17 I feel there is no type of intimidation in the PRB due to the member selection - very open with one another.
3...Does not recall sitting on a PRB meeting when he or others were intimidated.
4...No one intimidates me - not even McConough.
5...Have never seen any evidence of any member try to force j
a vote through intimidation.
However, I have secu committee members challenge their position, either professionally or technically, i
i 6...Never any problem in speaking his mind.
7... Thinks that it's bull shit that someone would think that Bockhold would come into a meeting and try to coerce someone.
i 8...No way in hell, including the company president, that no one can influence me.
l 9...Most of the time Bockholds attendance is due to other matters, he comes to the PRB meeting because those he l
needed were there.
Generally he waits until the meeting l
is over then calls together those he needs - very seldom says anything during the meeting.
10..The PRB functions well, very open and works in a direction to get an adequate review.
On non-unanimous votos a lot of care is taken to prevent problems from oce, urring.
Has never felt any management intimidation.
11..Does not feel intimidated.
From INPO training he has learned that other plants (Susquehanna) use the plant manager as the chairman of their PRB - point being, that it's not unusual within the industry to see this arrangement whereas at Vogtle we are more conservative and afford the plant manager an unbiased view.
12..No intimidation, but, fear of peer pressure may sway someone in another direction.
However, this has nothing to do with Bockhold.
