0260/L-800.0 Grand Gulf Nuclear Station, Unit 2 Bill No. D0192 AECM-85/2-0005 By Bill For Collection, No. D0192, dated February 15, 1985, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has requested that Mississippi Power & Light (MP&L) remit $1,032,937. The description of services rendered indicated only that the assessment was for the operating license review in connection with Grand Gulf, Unit 2 for the period " Post-CP issuance through June 23, 1984."

In order for MP&L to determine the accuracy of the assessment, we request that you provide an itemization for the Staf f review showing (1) the nature of each review completed; (2) the dates on which each review took place; (3) the Staff office performing each review; and (4) the number of hours for each review.

If the bill includes contractors' or consultants' charges to NRC, we would appreciate information comparable to that which we are requesting with respect to the NRC Staff review.

In addition, if any of the reviews involved Unit 1 alone or were in conjunction with Unit 2, your apportionment of review fees (if any) between Unit 1 and Unit 2 should be shown and the basis for apportionment explained.

Because this information is necessary for us to determine the accuracy of the debt, we request, as permitted under 10 C.F.R. 55 15.31 and 170.51, that you extend the deadline by which the fee payment is due until thirty days after we receive this information.
