M]TIFICATION OF INTENTION TO AMEND PETillON OF JANUARY 15, 1985 Since the Aamodts filed a motion for reconsideration on January 15.1985.
they have received additionall information specifically concerning health effects, apparently related to the TMI accident, in areas beyond the ten mile radius of TMI. The Aamodts have reviewed this information sufficiently tn determine that it is significant and that it cannot be readily separated from the TMI accident. They are hereby not.ifying the Commission that they intend to amend their January 15 petition with this new information. They plan to file an amendment within ten days. The emergency planning for the ten mile radius of TMI would be challenged by the new information.
It appears that the Commission is presently disposed to address the health matters outside the restart proceeding. Separation of the health matters from the restart decision would be unresponsive to the new information as well as the evidence already presented.
The Aamodt Motion presented information that challenges the emergency planning for TMI. Affidavit 8 of the hualth study (Attachment 3 to the Aamodt Motion) stated t. hat farmers as fm sis 12 tn 15 miles from IMI cannot grow clover seed since the accident (indicating the extinction of the bumble bee).
Affidavit 6 described an experience with a radioactive plume beyond 10 mileu of IMI.
