This letter is to inform you of Baltimore Gas and Electiic Company's request to participate in the Generic Letter 92-03 pilot program on the compilation of the Cutrent Licensing Basis (CLB). We feel that volunteering in this effort may yield insights that could help us improve some of our ongoing
- programs, and that observing our activities could benefit you in your assessment of CLB compilation alternatives.
We agree with the concept of tbc CLB as generally described at your recent workshop. We understand that your efforts under this pilot program will be geared towards obsening how our CLB is used and maintained. We consider that our licensing filing system, Electronic Docket, Regulatory Commitment Management Program, and our Updated Final Safety Analysis Report update program will provide a significant data point on how the CLB can be accessed and used. Our systems and projects are either ongoing or in day-to-day use, and your comments about them would be welcomed.
These systems and projects have been discussed with other utilities and have generally received favorable comments.
Because of the extent of our current efforts, it is our_ understanding that participation in this pilot program will not involve any additional or expanded programs. Should you have any further questions regarding this matter, we will be pleased to discuss them with you.
