50-328 By the November 23, 1982 letter to you from L. 'M. Mills, TVA requested NRC -
to approve the use of a short duration integrated leak rate test (Type A) at our Sequoyah Nuclear Plant, units-1 and 2.
The short duration test was to be performed in accordance with the Bechtel Topical Report BN-TOP-1, Revision, dated November.1, 1972. NRC subsequently issued approval of the ues of the short duration test since the report had been previously approved and accepted by the NRC for use at othar faciltties. However, the January 7,1983 letter from T. M. Novak to H. G. -.Parris, which prov!ded NRC appr oval, only addressed unit 1.
Therefore, this letter is to provide notification that as stateo in tha November 23, 1982 letter, we plan to utilize the short duration test also on unit 2 at Sequoyah.
