Waterford ' CF" Docket No. bu-382 License No. NPF-38 Extension for Completion of Corrective Action for Violation 92003-1 Gentlemen:
e This letter is being transmitted to document a conversation between a NRC Region IV staff member and Waterford 3 representatives that occurred on Tuesday, August 4,1992. The purpose for the conversation was to discuss an extcnaion of the due date for completing part of the corrective action for Violation 92003-1.
The violation concerned a Licensee Event Report (LER) which failed to address related problenis with surveillance test def:.;iencies.
In 'Waterford 3 's response to Vloiatton 92003-1 (Letter No. W3t 1-92-0 ISO dated

- May 1,1992), Waterford 3 committed to revise UNT 006-012, " Development and Review of Licensee Event Reports, Special Reports, and Security Incident Reports," by August 5,1992. The basis for the extension to that commitment is that Waterford 3 intends to include the change in a more extet-;ve revision which was made necessary by a recent reorganization of site personnel and responsibilities. Waterfor<i 3 requested that the scheduled apletion date for submitting the change to UNT-006-012 be revised to Novem.. 6, 1992.
