Dear Mr. Youngblood:
Millstone Nuclear Power Station, Unit No. 3 Supplement I to NUREG-0737 Control Room Design Review Summary Report In Reference (1), Northeast Nuclear Energy Company (NNECO) submitted the Control Room Design Review Implementation Plan for Millstone Unit No. 3.
NNECO hereby submits fif teen (15) copies of the Control Room Design Review (CRDR) Summary Report for Millstone Unit No. 3 as committed in Reference (2). Chapter 18 of the NRC Staff's Safety Evaluation Report (SER) for Millstone Unit No. 3 (Reference (3)) stated that the CRDR Summary Report would be submitted in June,1984. NNECO provided comments on the NRC Staff's SER in Reference (4), including a clarification that the CRDR Summary Report would be submitted by November 1,1984 in accordance with Reference (2).
The NRC Staff provided comments on the CRDR Implementation Plan in Reference (5). NRC Staff concerns were reviewed during the In-Progress Audit conducted for Millstone Unit No. 3 on August 7-101984. Although we have not yet received an audit report, it is our understanding that all NRC Staff concerns 3

- identified in Reference (5) were resolved during the In-Progress A$dit.. As part-of the resolution' process, the NRC Staff requested that certain information be provided in the CRDR Summary Report. This information has been incorporated into the attached CRDR Summary Report.
