Cae to unavoidable problems in procuring equipment and imaterials and delays in construction of new f acilities, we have been unable to fully implement wur Modified Amended Security Plan for Surry Power Station Units 1 and 2.
liovever, we will be able to fulfill the requirements of 10 CFR 73.55 by implementi.sg interim measures of an equivalent nature.
i Enclosed are five copies each of interim pages for each page of the MASP containing commitments we will not meet by February 23, 1979.
These interim pages describe those measures we will take pending completion of the installation and construction of equipment and facilities z
^j' described in the Surry MASP. Also enclosed is a revised implementation E.
schedule for the MASP which identifies when full tmplementation will be achieved and interim measures terminated.
The enclosed documents are considered proprietary by Virginia Electric and Power C.epany and should be withheld from public disclosure in accordance with the provisions of 10 CFR 2.790(o).
