Gentlemen:
On November 3,1978, we submitted to you a check in the amount of $30,816.00 -
as payment for NRC Invoice No. 011-79, which provided Arkansas Nuclear One-Unit I with primary financial protection for the period from November 8, 1978 through November 7,1979..At that time, we required indemnification in the amount of $140 million and were charged a fee of $12 per year per Nt capacity as stated in 10 CFR 140.7. We now understand that due to an increase in the number of reactors which would be charged a deferred pre-mium under the Price-Anderson Act that,as of January.1,1979, we require indemnification of less than $99 million for which the fee is 56 per year per Nt capacity.
Based on the above, Arkansas Power and Light Company hereby requests a refund of $13,128.00 to offset this change in fee.
