to-Operating License Nos. NPF-4 and NPF-7 for North Anna Unit Nos. I and-2.

The specific changes will be to take' action within 2~'

hours when a-system, subsystem,

train, component or device and its corresponding normal or-emergency power sources are inoperable and all its fredundant systems, subsystems,-trains, components and_ devices are inoperable.

The action taken so the. applicable LCO does not apply is to place the unit in:

At least HOT STANDBY within the next 6 hours6.944444e-5 days <br />0.00167 hours <br />9.920635e-6 weeks <br />2.283e-6 months <br />, l

At least HOT SHUTDOWN within the following 6 hou.s, and.

These proposed Technical ' Specifications are requested because the current Technical Specifications are more restrictive than other Technical Specification LCO's'for similar situations where 6 hours6.944444e-5 days <br />0.00167 hours <br />9.920635e-6 weeks <br />2.283e-6 months <br /> were allowed to be in at-least' HOT STANDBY.

The changes will allow greater operating flexibility and provide additional time for repairs prior to having to shutdown the unit.
