Dear Mr. Schwencer:

.We have reviewed the Draft Environmental Statement related to the operation of River Bend Station, Docket No. 50-458. As noted in this document, there has been no change in the assessment of environmental impacts since the issuance of the Final Environmental Statement--Construction Permit Phase in September 1974. This Final Environmental Statement adequately addressed the permanent loss of 311 acres of prime farmland and 67 acres of farmland of statewide importance.

We have no additional comments on this Draf t Statement addressing the operation of River Bend Station near St. Francisville, La.
