Letter 91-06, Resolution of Generic Issue A-30, " Adequacy of

! Safety-Related DC Power Supplies," Pursuanc to 10 CFR 50.54(f).

J

A conference- call was held between BFN personne1 'and Mr. J.! F.- Williams,_

Nuclear Reactor Regulation, on January 27, 1992 to discuss BFN's response to GL 91-06 (Reference). During the telecon, the~four' commitments listed on Enclosure 2 of the reference letter were discussed. Commitments 1,;2, and 3 documented BFN's intention to revise its procedures to provide-for l

collection of Lus voltmeter and battery ammater data each shift on the 250V DC Unit Batteries, 250V DC Shutdown Batteries, and the 125V DC

- Diesel Generator Batteries. These commitments should-have stated that 1 this data will-be-collected daily instead of each shift. 'Due to the i large number of battery systems installed at BFN, a'significant amount of battery data must be collected.- Reasonable manpower resourec. allocation precludes the collection of all of the. data each shift. BFN has

. apportioned the battery data collection among the Operations shifts to-ensure.that all of the data is collected daily. Commitments 1, 2, and 3 are restated on the. Enclosure to correctly reflect the daily _ data collection frequency. Commitment 4 is unchanged.-

All_of the commitments made-in response to the-GL have been' completed.

[

0-G01-300-1, Operations Routine Sheets, has been revised to include collection of bus _ voltmeter and battery ammeter. data --Alarm Response-
