JAMooney to JJHarrison letter, Serial CSC-7997, Dated July 26, 1984.
Per August 16, 1984 conversation between R. Wieland of CPCo and Dr. R. Landsman of NRC Region III, CPCo is performing the following work in connection with soils work shutdown.
These activities are in addition to the activities noted in our referenced letter of July 26, 1984.
1.
The surcharge on the freezewall monitoring pits is being removed.
2.
The grillage steel in the loaded pits will remain in place.
3.
The pits are being filled with loose backfill and designated as temporary fill areas.
4.
Elevation readings of utility locations crossing freezewall monitoring pits will be taken prior to temporary backfilling of the pits.
Dr. Landsman concurred with performance of this work as part of the soils work shutdown.
