. Attention: Mr. James P. O'Reilly On June 14, 1984, Mr. R. E. Folker of Georgia Power Company infomed Mr.

V.

Panciera of the USNRC of a potentially significant deficiency concerning the lack of full penetration welds on some HVAC duct supports.

In letter GN-388 dated July 13, 1984, Georgia Power Company also advised the NRC that an interim report would be submitted on or about August 29, 1984, that would furnish an expected completion date for the evaluation of this concern.

At this time, Georgia Power Company has been advised by the architect-engineer that the evaluation and review of this subject will be completed in mid-September,1984.

Georgia Power Company will notify the NRC of the results of this evaluation by September 21, 1984.
