Ulie, and we understand his inspection report:will close this; item from the I&E perspective.
The SNUPPS Standard Plant FSAR was revised in Revision 15 to describe the added sprinkler system.
2 _ The'line-type thermal detectors (Protecto-Wire) inside Jcontainment have-been successfully tested and declared

Union. Electric has determined that the thermal detectors for'the cable trays on the control rod

drive mechanism are not required'and; therefore, has
~ deleted them from'the design'. -This has been reviewed by 1 Region III Inspector, Mr. J. M. Ulie, and we understand

.in the referenced letter were completed on August 24, 1984.
As a result of modification implementation and
. closure of quality control' paperwork, a small number of

To ensure i-compliance with Technical Specifications and the. Fire
' Protection Program until these are resolved, required
