1' Chairmnn Selin .i USNP.

Dwar Chairman Selin, This 11. t h s: I nt u st t update anet In'meprotation of the transoc.rtat4cn provider in f oi mat i m I havw rocentiv obtained.

As yoi s F riow ' have fin.Pily roceivad thi . I M ne ma t.l on theough e FOIA. MFMA has attemptrid t o sw eap t i h e- Cord i duan t s al Worksheet=. which conta)n the driver commi t:neatii c bu t the secretary of States offico ruled against that e::omp ti on and I will soon ber .uceiving that i nf nrinati on h well. When I do I will be t ipd a t. i ng the f i r,j ur e s once again. As you know, h4 utoricall y the majority ct the bustes havw been the own out because of lack o# driver commitments. This year, I have found the trwnsportati on providers fall far balnw the noussary numbars witbout havtng yet seen elr a ver c ommi t ener i s .

Due to the status et the 2.006 Detition I felt it was noennu.

c eri figure out what I em saying and even I have difficulty 8

with that. Hoocfully, when I nave all the necessary informatton, I will be able to.put it into a format all csn follow.

I also waist to make you aware of the actions I have taken on this informatien. Needless to say after all the years of work I have put into buses and all the wor k the Task Force did, I swpected great improvements in the world of Dunes. I was greatly disappointed or as the movie said "I am as mad as Hell and I'm not going to take it anymore" I call Dave Rodham, MEMA, and at his invitation I am ani ng to meet with David, Slaney and Forbos and discuss wny these buses are not acceptable and either find alternatives or announce that MEMA can not evacuate the EPZ and let someone else find an alternative.. Then;F called Roy Anderson V.P. SECO and suggested a'similar: meeting with BECo. Mr. Anderson accepted my suggestion. I will moet with Roy and Varley June 15th.

Needless to--sa"y,I will send any pertinent infurmation from l

these meeting.tolyou.

I Again I' remind you that I am only one . Wr dun , . wi thout any power. I do want planning and I am willing to fsght for it,-but I am limited. One of the lovely MEMA people inf ormed 4 i me last week that: "Now that Carr is gone, they don't have to listen to me." I assume that was their philosophy when they did such a bang up job on the transportation this year. I i -

al so assume that the NRC is interested in achieving emergency 9206170112 920526 PDR ADOCK 05000293 H PDR

Busec are garaged on Cape Cod a no buses.

The only egrass from the Cape are two bridges, tho Sagamore and the Dourne Bridge. During an accident at Pi l gri m, according to the traffic management 1.F. , the Gagamore Bridge in closed completo1y, because at is lu the EPZ: and the Bourne Bridge han one l ane open supposedly for emergency vehicles. Anyone familiar with typical Cape trdffic realizes this Will creatu a loggerjam for miles and miles. Jame news ymports of the hurricano that I sent to the Chairman's office to yerify). l.ast Fall, following the hurr icane, . David Rodham of MEMA finally remov=d the Cape based . companies Canhing and Bernstable from planning, bocause of this si tuati on. i Yet i find that his staff han added Laidl aw wi th atOO buses to the transportation litt.
