Dear Mr. Adams:

Enclosed please find a proposed new Operator Requalification Program for the University of Virginia Reactor Facility. We have removed all references to the CAVALIER reactor ainca it is to undergo decommissivulng. We propose a two '

year cycle for the program, with an operator evaluation annually and a written examination at the end of each cycle. This program meets the requirements of 10 CFR, part 55 and ANS standard ANS 15.4 and has been reviewed and approved by our Reactor Safety Committee.

Procedures have been developed to implement this program and are available for inspectici .
