Dear Lynn:

This will acknowledge your telephone call to me last even-ing questioning Licensee's placement of documents in response to TMIA's first discovery requests at a Discovery Room located in Harrisburg.

As I indicated, this was the location of the document room previously for this restart proceeding.

The documents have been gathered from New Jersey offices and the TMI site.

We elected to put them in one location and believed the Harrisburg area to be convenient for both Licensee and TMIA.

The Licensee representative familiar with the docu-monts and who was to be made available to oversee production and assist'TMIA is located in Harrisburg.

In the past, TMIA l

has used member volunteers to review documents and those indi-viduals were from the Harrisburg area.

We were aware that dur-ing the recent steam generator tech spec amendment hearings TMIA complained about the location being too close to the TMI site and too far from Harrisburg and for that reason rented 1

Since receiving your call I have checked and determined that the documents can be relocat'ed to our offices in Washington.

Please~ inform me by letter if that is TMIA's pref-erence, bearing in mind the following:

1.

There is one set of documents and they will be-made available in one location.

We intend to make available additional documents in response to other requests at the same location.

2.

As lead intervenor, your choice of location we will assume is satisfactory for all intervenors and there will not be subsequent complaints from the Aamodts or UCS if the documents are moved from Harrisburg to Washington.
