before the Coannission. (Motion, June 21, 1984)

We have made a number of inquiries a:nong scientists who had had the opportunity to read the motion. These scientists included Dr. Dean Abranhamson, Dr. Thomas Mancuso, Dr. Rosalie Bartell, x r Dr. Gordon McLeod and Dr. John Cobb. All expressed great interest in the study. Dr. Cobb would, with some adjustments in schedule, have the time to begin sa investigation.

Dr. Cobb is qualified, in all respects, to evaluate the health study data. He is a medical doctor, graduated from Harvard,.was chairman of the department of medipine at therUniversity of Colorado, received a degree in public health from John Hopkins and has directed investigations of environmentally-related health problems. Dr. Cobb is sending a resume directly to Chairman Palladino.

i Dr. Cobb would need to know inanediately after September 7 concerni.ng the Comunission's disposition.

He has tentatively agreed to set aside time beginning Friday, September 21.

The Commission wanted to know if we would be satisfied with an investigation by CDC.

We find that we would not be comfortable with a validation of our assertions by CDC.
