SUMMARY

OP OPERATIONS April, 1992 The cycle 8-9 refueling outage continued through the month of April.

The following major safety related maintenance vas performed during the month i of April:

1. Completed 10 year ISI inspection of the reactor vessel.  !

2. Eddy current inspections vere performed on 100 percent of the available tubes in all three steam generators (SGs). As a result j of this inspection a total of 42 tubes vere plugged, 29 vere ~

repaired and 217 vere designated as P* tubes in the three steam generators. The tube plugging was completed on April 22, 1992.

3. Complcted fuel reload. Inspected fuel for condition and damage.
4. Performed testing and maintenance en various safety-related hydraulic and mechanical snubbers.
5. Performed testing and maintenance on A and B train RHR rystems.
6. Performed various desigr. changes on the Reactor Coolant and H!!SI systems.
7. Refurbished the 2A, 2B, and 20 accumulator discharge valves.
8. Disassembled, inspected and re.naired various MSIVs.
9. Performed testing and maintenance on AFV system.

10. Some service water pipe was replaced with stainless steel.
11. Removed the excess flow check valves on the letdovn line.
12. Removed whip restraints on pressurizer surge line.
13. Miscellaneous corrective and preventive maintenance was performed l on the diesel generators.
14. Repaired servise water return line on 2B diesel generator.
15. Performed safety related MOV testing and preventive maintenance tasks.
