As stated in letters dated February 10 and May 15, 1984 Alabama Power Company has initiated a detailed review of the Farley Nuclear Plant fire protection design to determir.e the effects of the current NRC Appendix R interpretations. The referenced letters also stated that any additional' exemptions as a result of this review were scheduled to be submitted to the NRC by August 1984. This schedule was based upon a
- June 1984 completion date for the walkdown and an August 1984 completion date for the analysis. The scope of the review, however, was larger than originally anticipated, 'and therefore the walkdown was not completed until August 1984 and the analysis will not be completed until
-November 1984. As a result, Alabama Power Company will submit any additional exemptions to the current NRC interpretations of 10CFR50
