50-328 SEQUOYAH NUCLEAR PLANT (SON)- REVISION TO THE TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION (TS) BASES (REVISIONS BR-7 AND BR-8, UNIT 1 AND BR-9, UNIT 2)
The purpose of this letter is to inform NRC of changes that TVA has incorporated into the Bases section of the Units 1 and 2 TSs. Specifically, Unit 1 Bases Section 3/4.7.1.2 has been revised to indicate the current operational functions of the turbine-driven auxiliary feedwater level control valves that were modified during the Unit 1 Cycle 7 refueling outage. These valves have been modified to be nonmodulating and automatically open upon an accident signal. The same Bases section has been revised for both units to remove information relative to operator j
action. This information was misleading with regard to the Chapter 15 analysis of the i
Updated Final Safety Analysis Report. The enclosure provides the revised Bases pages affected by these revisions.
