Enclosed is a copy of the '.inal report for the September 13,
,1995, off-site Radiologic 41 Emergency Preparedness (REP) Exercise at the Grand Gulf Nuclear ~ Station in Port Gibson, Mississippi.
This report.was prepared by FEMA Region VI for the Louisiana portion of the exerciso.
There were no deficiencias and one Area Requiring Corrective Action (ARCA) identified dutiJg the' drill.
The ARCA was attributed to the Louisiana Office of Emergency Preparedness not sending a spokesperson to the Emergency News Center.
The State of Louisiana is aware of the ARCA and will demonstrate its correction at the next biennial exercise.
Based on the results of the September 13, 1995, REP Exercise,.the off-site radiological emergency response plans and preparedness for the State of Louisiana and the affected local jurisdictions, site-specific to the Grand Gulf Nuclear Station can be implemented.
They are deemed to be adequate to provide reasonable assurance that appropriate measures can be taken to protect the health and safety of the public in the event of a radiological emergency at the site. Therefore, the Title 44 CFR, Part 350 approval of the off-site radiological emergency response plans and preparedness for the State of Louisiana site-specific to the Grand Gulf Nuclear Station will remain in effect.
